Moderate Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MODERATE FLOODING FALLING SLOWLY AT BUGILBONE AND POSSIBLE AT GOANGRA OVERNIGHT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY
The main peak along the Namoi River has passed Bugilbone, where moderate flooding continues to fall slowly. The flood peak is now approaching Goangra, where river levels may exceed the moderate flood level from overnight Thursday into Friday. River levels may peak at Goangra around Sunday.

Namoi River:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Namoi River.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 5.99 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may fall below the moderate flood level (5.50 m) during Friday.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 5.85 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Goangra may exceed the moderate flood level (6.70 m) overnight Thursday into Friday. The river may peak near 7.30 m during Sunday, with moderate flooding.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
