MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ST ANNS LATER IN THE WEEK WITH MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM TUESDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the lower Burdekin River catchment since Saturday evening, with particularly heavy falls over parts of the Bowen, Belyando and Suttor River catchments.
Along the Burdekin River, below minor flood peaks have been observed at Dalbeg, Clare and Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge).
Along the Suttor River at St Anns, minor flooding is possible Tuesday evening, with further rises and moderate flooding possible later in the week.
Further rainfall is forecast across parts of the Burdekin River catchment this week as Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji moves inland. This rainfall may result in further river and creek level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for adjoining catchments.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Suttor River.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 3.52 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Tuesday evening. The river may exceed the moderate flood level (6.50 m) later in the week. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Flooding is no longer expected at Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin Dam is currently at 1.16 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin Dam is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Flooding is no longer expected along the lower Burdekin River.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg peaked at 9.63 m around 06:00 pm Monday 12 January, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 6.98 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is expected to remain below the minor flood level (10.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Clare peaked at 8.43 m around 03:00 am Tuesday 13 January, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 7.95 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Clare is expected to remain below the minor flood level (9.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) peaked at 6.35 m AHD around 04:00 am Tuesday 13 January, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 6.25 m AHD and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.00 m AHD).

Moderate rainfall over the upper Herbert River catchment over the last few days has resulted in river level rises. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Tuesday and into Wednesday, which may lead to further river level rises. Minor flooding is possible at Gleneagle from Tuesday evening. Flooding is no longer expected at Abergowrie Bridge.

Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River at Gleneagle.
No observations are currently available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, river levels are estimated to be below the minor flood level and steady.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) Tuesday evening.

Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park and Longreach. Minor flooding is possible at Stonehenge from Wednesday as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Further rainfall is forecast from mid-week, with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move northern Queensland. This is likely to result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
An initial Flood Watch is current for the Gulf Country and parts of Western Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula, which includes the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers.

Major flooding is occurring at Diamantina Lakes. An earlier flood peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River below Monkira.
