MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WILLARA CROSSING.
MINOR FLOODING RISING TO A PEAK AT WANAARING OVER FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
Floodwaters arriving from Queensland are causing minor flooding along the Paroo River. River levels have peaked and are falling at Willara Crossing. Downstream, minor flooding is occurring at Wanaaring, with a peak forecast to arrive over Friday into Saturday. The river is expected to remain above the minor flood level through the weekend.
A minor flood warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland.

Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River (NSW) at Willara Crossing and Wanaaring.

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing peaked at 1.70 metres around 09:30 am Monday 16 December and is currently at 1.34 metres and falling, above the minor flood level (0.70 metres)
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is expected to remain above the minor flood level (0.70 m) for the next few days.

The Paroo River at Wanaaring was observed at 2.48 metres and rising on Tuesday evening, above the minor flood level (2.40 metres).
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is likely to peak near 2.60 metres overnight Friday into Saturday. High river levels expected to continue into the early next week.

Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.

HUNGERFORD LIKELY TO REMAIN ABOVE MINOR OVER THE WEEKEND
Minor flooding is continuing along the Paroo River at Hungerford and downstream.
A Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River (NSW) is current.
No significant rainfall was recorded in the last 7 days. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Paroo River to Eulo:
River levels are expected to be easing along the Paroo River to Eulo.
No current river level observations are available for the Paroo River at Eulo, however, the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (2.60 m).
The Paroo River at Eulo is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.60 m).

Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Paroo River downstream of Eulo, with small renewed rises occurring around Hungerford.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is currently at 1.19 metres and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is likely to remain above the minor flood level (1.00 m) over the weekend.

MINOR FLOODING MAY CONTINUE TO OCCUR AT CUNNAMULLA BRIDGE OVER THE WEEKEND
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING AT ROCKY DURING FRIDAY
The main flood peak has passed Rocky and is moving downstream into NSW. A smaller second peak is now at the Cunnamulla area, with minor flooding estimated to be occurring at Cunnamulla Bridge and renewed river level rises occurring at Rocky.
No significant rainfall was recorded in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Friday. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Warrego River downstream of Charleville:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Warrego River downstream of Charleville.
No manual observations are available for Cunnamulla Bridge, however based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level at Cunnamulla Bridge is estimated to have peaked at 6.20 metres around 04:00 pm Thursday 19 December. The river level is currently estimated to be around the minor flood level (6.00 m) and falling slowly.
The Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge may remain around the minor flood level (6.00 m) during the weekend.

The Warrego River at Rocky is currently at 2.70 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (2.50 m).
The Warrego River at Rocky may remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) during the weekend.
