MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT FINGAL
MINOR FLOODING EASING AT LEWIS HILL
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT LLEWELLYN SUNDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the South Esk catchment during Saturday which has caused river level rises. A moderate flood peak was observed at Fingal around midnight overnight Saturday into Sunday. Minor flooding may develop further downstream at Llewellyn from Sunday evening. Along the St Pauls River, minor flooding is easing at Lewis Hill.
A flood watch is current for Southern and South East Tasmania.
Break O'Day River:
River levels are elevated along the Break O'Day River.
South Esk River above Fingal:
River levels are elevated along the South Esk River above Fingal.
St Pauls River:
Minor flooding is easing along the St Pauls River.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill peaked at 2.55 m around 09:00 pm Saturday 26 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 2.15 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill is expected to fall below the minor flood level (1.70 m) during Monday 28 July.
South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the South Esk River.
The South Esk River at Fingal peaked at 5.55 m around midnight Saturday into Sunday 27 July, with moderate flooding. The river is currently at 5.34 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The South Esk River at Fingal is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. The river may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Monday 28 July.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn is currently at 3.25 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday evening. The river may peak near 4.80 m Monday morning, just below the moderate flood level (5.0 metres).
Nile River:
River levels are elevated along the Nile River.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
