Minor Flood Warning For The North Esk River

A MINOR FLOOD PEAK IS LIKELY AT CORRA LINN OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
Moderate rainfall has been observed since Friday night in the North Esk catchment which has led to river level rises and minor flooding. Showers are possible for the remainder of Saturday night and into Sunday, however, further flooding is not expected.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the North and South East Tasmania
St Patricks River:
River levels are elevated along the St Patricks River.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara is currently at 1.21 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.00 m).
Upper North Esk River:
Elevated river levels are likely occurring along the Upper North Esk River.
Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 2.95 m and steady, above the minor flood level (2.70 m).
The North Esk River at Corra Linn may peak near 3.30 m overnight Saturday into Sunday, with minor flooding.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
