Initial Minor Flood Warning For The King River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE KING RIVER AT LAKE WILLIAM HOVELL (DOWNSTREAM) AND AT DOCKER RD BRIDGE FROM SUNDAY MORNING
Moderate rainfall has been observed since Friday night in the King River catchment which has caused river level rises along the King River, with minor flooding possible at Lake William Hovell (Downstream) and at Docker Rd Bridge from Sunday morning.

King River:
Minor flooding is possible along the King River.
The King River at Lake William Hovell (Downstream) is currently at 1.74 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The King River at Lake William Hovell (Downstream) may reach around the minor flood level (1.80 m) Sunday morning.

The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 2.68 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (3.70 m) Sunday afternoon. Further rises are possible.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
