MINOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT GLENEAGLE
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ABERGOWRIE BRIDGE FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Recent rainfall over the Herbert catchment has resulted in creek and river level rises. The river level at Gleneagle Homestead is likely to remain above the minor flood level during Wednesday, and minor flooding is possible at Abergowrie Bridge.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
Herbert River to Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Herbert River to Nash's Crossing.
No observations are currently available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, it is estimated that the river level at Gleneagle Homestead is currently above the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.50 m) for the remainder of Wednesday and into Thursday. Further small rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing at Abergowrie Bridge.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 5.07 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
Renewed rises are possible, and the Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (6.00 m) from Wednesday afternoon.
